AGAR had been submitted to external auditors and acknowledgement of receipt received.

Resident apologised for the parking of trailers on the Pinnel Hole and that they would all be removed this week.
He has been researching potential lighting for The Green and also wished to present some general suggestions for parking at the Pinnel Hole.
Cllr Pratt gave the following report:
South Cumberland meeting 6 June 10am, discussing new flood alleviation scheme.
Planning officers and Highways visiting Dunningwell Hall this week.
Buckman’s Brow – failed bits to be replaced July/August along with Whicham Valley Road. There will be partial closures with traffic lights. Cllrs Calsy & Wright asked that the junction with Lady Hall be closed off to prevent it being used as an alternative route. Cllr Pratt to investigate.
Terry Wallace – new Highways contact.
Still seeking new Dog bins and prices.
A rod had been lost in a drain within The Hill by Cumberland contractors and needed an update.
The reported broken gate is to be repaired/
There is still funding available in the South Cumberland Community Fund.
Cllr Bates asked if there would be any link between the Millom Flood retention and work being done by Millom Marshes group.

Bench to be donated to school, Clerk to arrange delivery.
Clerk reported that paint for phone box would be £125.79 plus delivery and vat. Agreed to purchase paint.

Pinnel Hole car parking
Clerk reported that requested quote to resurface car park as is. Consultation events to be arranged
New entrance to play area.
Clerk awaiting date for fitting.

Active Transport – Barrow to Esk Active Travel
Cllr Calsy reported that there is a meeting end of June to move the project forward and will be attending local shows to promote.
ii) Lights
Cllr Pogrel reported that they were reviewing previous requests for lights and producing a tender document.
iii) Duddon Iron Furnace
Cllr Carrington reported that no progress had been made. Suggested planned tours of the site.
Iv) Dog Poo Bins.
Application made.
v) Sandhalls wood, removal of wood and fallen trees
Maps checked and the wood owned by the PC is opposite Sandhalls wood. Correspondent to be informed of council’s policy of managing woodland.

Points raised – viable footpath between village halls – to be placed on future agendas for discussion and viability.
Solar lights – the Hill – to be included in next phase.
Wheelchair access footpaths – to consider where these can be improved.
Community involvement to take meetings out to smaller communities.

The following correspondence had been received that has not been previously circulated:
Letter received from HNMRC confirming that no monies are owed to the PC.
Cllr Lockwood raised concerns re the state of Middle Cut. Suggested write to landowners reminding them of their responsibilities. Clerk to obtain list of landowners.
Cllr Atkinson sought clarification of the boundary of the parish.
Cllr Pogrel had received complaints of speeding through The Green and could the speed limit be reduced to 20mph. Cllr Pratt to make enquiries.
Cllr Carrington would like the promotion of things of interest within the parish to be placed on next agenda for discussion.
