MINUTES OF THE ANNUAL PARISH COUNCIL MEETING AT THWAITES VILLAGE HALL, THE GREEN ON 13 MAY 2024 COMMENCING AT 7.30PM

Election of Chair

Resolution: Cllr Carrington was elected as Chair, proposed by Cllr Pogrel and seconded by Cllr Lockwood. Cllr Carrington signed the Acceptance of Office and took over as Chair.

Election of Vice Chair

Resolution: Cllr Savage was elected as Vice Chair, proposed by Cllr Lockwood and seconded by Cllr Kitchingman. Cllr Savage signed the Acceptance of Office.

Apologies for Absence

Apologies were received and accepted from Cllrs Nugent, Wright, Murray, and Calsy (all on holiday).

Resolution: Approved, proposed by Cllr Savage and seconded by Cllr Pogrel.

General Power of Competence

The Council resolved that it meets the conditions under Section 8(2) of the Localism Act 2011 and The Parish Councils (General Power of Competence) (Prescribed Conditions) Order 2012.

Resolution: Proposed by Cllr Calsy and seconded by Cllr Pogrel.

The Annual Meeting closed at 7:45 PM, and the regular Parish Council meeting followed.

Demolition of an existing single-storey store and flue; erection of a replacement two-storey extension and flue; reinstatement of first-floor function room; extension of public house hours; expansion of residential space associated with the public house; replacement of septic tank with a new treatment plant.

Note: It was observed that the septic tank had already been installed.
