Born in Lancashire, I trained and qualified as a Chartered Surveyor in Liverpool.

For ten years I was Projects Surveyor for Anglican Church in Burundi, C.Africa, before coming to Lady Hall, in 1983. I then practised as a self-employed Chartered Building Surveyor in S.W. Cumbria until retirement.

I continue with a small family farming enterprise in Lady Hall.

For ten years I was a member IMB (then Board of Visitors) – HMP Haverigg.
I am a churchwarden at Broughton-in-Furness.

To promote good planning outcomes which are in keeping with, and which enhance our parish. To protect our rural environment, including the built/architectural environment. To seek to ensure safety for our community on local roads. To promote greener transport solutions wherever possible.
